Irelands Forecourt & Convenience Awards 2019 Casey Londis Castlebar & Ballina

Double the success for Casey Retail Group at this year’s Ireland Forecourt & Convenience Retailer awards. Casey’s Londis Castlebar awarded “Best Food to Go” and Casey’s Ballina awarded “Best store with a licence to sell alcohol”.

Managing Director David Tarrant said, “Customer appreciation is key”. We have a loyal customer base, and great enthusiastic, energetic staff which is ultimately what makes the difference. Customers have been coming in to congratulate us. Our team in store are delighted, and it has given us a huge sense of pride to win these awards. Casey’s have brought innovative new concepts to cater for busy changing lifestyles and now Casey’s Londis Castlebar is the ultimate in convenience shopping. Embracing new trends and developing its own food service brand, “the Kitchen @ Casey’s” has built a reputation for good honest food.

All our dinners are prepared fresh in store daily by Reg our expert cook and Ivy and his team in Ballina, using the finest ingredients, locally sourced where possible. We offer a huge choice to our customers from a vast range of traditional hot dinners, breakfasts, to our new enjoy at home range, homemade soup, ready meals, gourmet sandwiches are all available every day. Traditional home cooked meats and freshly prepared salads are available from our cold counter.

Recognising the trend for healthy fresh food Casey’s added Freshly Chopped, Mayo’s only Freshly Chopped store, and to satisfy the online ordering expectations of Pizza
lovers Casey’s have added Four Star Pizza. All this leads to sixty feet of the most impressive fresh food counters to be found anywhere in Ireland right here in Castlebar
Licence to Chill.

The Casey Group picked up not one, but two awards on the night. Casey’s Ballina won best site with a licence to sell alcohol.

So, what makes Casey’s Ballina stand out from the crowd? “The Ballina store was redeveloped early 2018. It’s a large, bright, clean store selling groceries, with a substantial fresh food offering of Londis Deli, Kitchen @ Casey’s and Supermacs but the off licence was developed to rival any of the multiples David adds. The off licence is large for a convenience store, but it’s the attention to detail in the merchandising that makes the difference.

We are also very conscious of range and price and manage both very closely. We want to give our customers an extensive range and the most competitive prices.

It is extremely humbling for the Casey Retail group to have received two national accolades and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Aiden Hennigan and the all the team in Castlebar and Philip Larkin and all the team in Ballina for their determination, drive and passion to be the best at what they do each and every day. Well done to all.

David Tarrant
